TV: Still Genius After All These Years

That was a totally psychedelic and totally brilliant Simpsons Christmas show that aired this evening. Screw those who think this show is past it's prime---the Simpsons bar remains high, and they still deliver the goods every week. And oh yeah, Moe's suicide attempts in the final vignette of tonight's show were priceless!

I totally agree. I LOVED Homer as Joseph, Mr. Burns as King Herod, Bart as Jesus, and Marge as the Virgin Mary, or, in Homer/Joseph's words, "a pregnant virgin -- that's a husband's worst nightmare!"

Grampa's WWII flashback was also quite great. I loved it when his brother sent him off with the words, "Hurry back, so that we can slowly give black people their rights."
