I’m happy to announce September 19 as the release date for the Finn’s Motel album Escape Velocity, an album I am very proud and honored that Joe Thebeau asked me to play on. I’ll say it now folks, this record kicks some major rock ass and you will dig it. Scat Records is currently offering up a four-song sampler from the record. For details on how to get it, as well as a new Finn’s Motel mp3, click here.

Great stuff man. On first listen it fills in the gap left by a certain 3 initial band that doesn't rock so much anymore.
It's been a long time since I've heard something that exciting.

If you're thinking of the same "3 initial band" that I am, well they broke up, hence their not rocking "so much anymore." :)
Nonetheless, thanks for the positive feedback, I'll make sure Mr.Thebeau sees it. Check back too, as I will definitely have the Finn's Motel website linked on my blog when it's up and running.
Yeah, I was bummed when U.F.O. broke up too!
XTC? REM? GTR? BTO?
UFO broke up? Damn...
LSG? TLC?
Um, RUSH has four letters and they aren't initials.
Yeah, but Rush has three members. Maybe that's what they meant.
I'd take a Rush comparison as a compliment. ;-)

Or they meant "YYZ", yo!
First album I ever bought with my own money: Moving Pictures.
Went to the concert at the Checkerdome and some guy tried to sell me acid. I was 15.
As was often the case, when the show ended, the lights came up, and the tremendous cloud of weed smoke became visible.
Good times.

By the way, it's worth mentioning that the album wouldn't be half what it is without the solid anchor of Scariano and Hawley in the rhythm section.
Thanks, Steve!
